D56 will be holding “TEST DAY” for our mass notification system on Tuesday, October 20 at 10:20 a.m. The purpose of this day is to test all of the communication channels the district uses - email, text, phone, website and Facebook - to alert families and staff of important information. We are conducting TEST DAY during Safety Week (Oct. 19-23) in coordination with Woodland School District 50 and Warren Township High School District 121.
On TEST DAY, we will send a TEST message to the contact information we have on file for staff and parents including: text, email, and phone. This will allow these individuals to ensure they are receiving district and school information through their desired platforms. We will also post the TEST message to our website and Facebook account.
Parents who do not receive the text, email and phone call should FIRST check Skyward to make sure their email and phone number is correct. If the information needs to be updated, please call your child’s school.
Our goal is to ensure we are providing accurate, effective communication to you in a timely manner. We hope this process will allow us to better reach our families at the times when it matters the most!
