As required by the Illinois School Safety Drill Act (105 ILCS 128/20), during each academic year, schools must conduct a law enforcement lockdown drill to address a school shooting incident. Lockdown drills will be conducted on the following dates/times:
River Trail, September 24 at 1 p.m.
Prairie Trail, September 29 at 2:15 p.m.
Viking, September 17 at 12:50 p.m.
Spaulding, September 17 at 9:30 a.m.
If you have concerns regarding your child’s participation in the drill, please contact your building principal to discuss your concerns. For those students who do not participate, essential information, training, and instruction through less sensory safety training methods will be provided.
