Announcements for Friday, March 24, 2023:
- Today’s Lunch: Cheese Pizza Slice, Carrots w/ranch dressing, Peaches, Low-fat Milk or Fat-Free Chocolate Milk
- Track tryouts begin when we return from Spring Break! 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are welcome to tryout. Athletes should complete the sports registration on the school website and have a current sports physical on file with the nurse in order to tryout. We will be running outside, so dress warmly. Please be sure to wear athletic shoes! Check out the flyers hanging around school and in the Viking google classroom for specific tryout days. Contact Ms. Szostak or Mr. Elman with any questions.
- Don’t forget to order your yearbook before Spring Break. This is your last chance to pre-order a yearbook. Order now for $35 to guarantee that you get a yearbook filled with memories. We will only have a limited number of yearbooks to sell at the end of the year. Order online or grab a flyer from the racks near the office. Time is running out!! Order by March 24th!.
- Fascinating Facts for Women’s History Month: Betsy Ross probably didn’t make the first American flag. There is little evidence to suggest that she actually made this first flag. In fact, the first retelling of this story didn’t happened until years after her death.
