DR. HUTTON AND TRANSPORTATION WILL MAKE A DECISION FRIDAY ON WHETHER OR NOT IT IS SAFE TO TRAVEL TO GRAND GENEVA. PLEASE CHECK BACK HERE BEFORE YOU CALL THE SCHOOLS.
As of 8 p.m. Thursday night... We are planning to go.
If it's cold...we're still going. If it's snowing... we're still going.
Generally if school is in session, we will head to Grand Geneva.
If the temperatures allow, Grand Geneva has the ability to make snow. So even if we haven't received any "real snow" around Gurnee, the ski hill could be completely covered.
Our Superintendent and Transportation staff determine whether or not the roads are safe to travel. In the event that a ski trip is cancelled, look here to find out how money will be refunded. Know that's it's impossible to individually call homes on the day we cancel a trip. Check here to find out the status of each trip.
Mr. Hollmaier almost ALWAYS finds clothing items left behind on the ski trips. Check with him for found gloves, ski pants, hats, etc.
