Welcome to the District 56 Athletic Website

Changes to the Registration Process:

Starting for the school year 2012 - 2013 the registration for sports has changed. Interested students should click on the forms tab to the right.  In the folder, students will find the registration forms for all sports.  They must fill out a separate form for all the sports in which they are interested in participating.  Parents, you must fill out a general permission slip that gives your student permission to participate in any after school  sport.  One week prior to the start of the activity, the link for the registration form will no longer be available.  Students will have to see the nurse and Mr. Streicher to ensure the proper forms are on file.  Once the proper forms are on file, the student will be registered by either Mr. Streicher or the coach for that sport.

Informational Meetings will be held at Viking and they will run from 2:30 to approximately 3:00.  The meetings are intended for the students to have an opportunity to meet the coach and hear the expectations for making the team.  Parents are more than welcome to attend, but they do not have to attend.

All athletes must have a current physical on file with their school’s nurse to participate in any sport.  A current physical is one that is less than one year old at the beginning of the sport and does not exceed the one-year time span during that sport.  An athlete will not be allowed to tryout, participate in practices, or watch these activities until a current physical is on file.  If you have any questions regarding physicals, you should contact your school’s nurse’s office.

For information regarding dates and locations of games and practices, please visit the Calendar Page.
